These are the pages of the Caribbean Countries KNOW YOUR STATUS website. It is currently under construction. However we  have inluded some usable material on the KYS Project drawn from the planners library. Everything from that document is here on www.knowyourstatus.info albeit in separate pages. It's 'webpaged' solely in English for now. It's called The Guide to the KYS Initiative.

The Know Your Status Initiative proposes a series of actions and tools aimed at increasing the publics demand for HIV testing and counseling services.

  This initiative complements PAHO/WHOs activities to support the countries efforts to strengthen and expand HIV testing and counseling services,within the broader context of the goal of universal access to comprehensive prevention, care, and treatment services.

The ultimate goal of the Initiative is to help reduce the spread of HIV in the region and to promote universal access to comprehensive care, in fulfillment of Goal 6 of the Millennium Development Goals and  Goal 2 of PAHOs Regional HIV/STI Plan for the Health Sector, 2006-2015.

The Know Your Status Initiative aims at creating an environment that enables people to make informed decisions about the importance of learning one's own serological status, while at the same time encouraging the use of health services that offer HIV testing and counseling.
